Art and Education by the Sea /Celf ac Addysg ar Lan y Môr is an Environmental Arts Company operating in South and West Wales in the U.K. We specialise in running art workshops and events for school children and communities. Our company is run by a team of trained artists who have previously collaborated on large scale community and schools arts projects, such as the innovative Green Art project for 50 Welsh Primary Schools at Bishops Wood in 2000/01. Our aim is to provide curriculum linked, educational and fun adventure art workshops that will inspire creativity and imagination, enhance motor/ thinking skills and resourcefulness, as well as giving our participants an environmental awareness.The workshops are run in different natural Welsh places, such as beaches, nature reserves or school grounds and involve discovery, observation and interpretation of each place with artworks inspired by nature and created from sustainable natural or recycled materials. We have been running workshops in natural settings in Swansea, Gower, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen areas since 1998 with various projects which are featured on this website. COMMISSIONS: We undertake commissions to work on site specific sculpture projects for local schools, authorities, educational, environmental or private organisations (see our gallery page for examples). Please contact us with your requirements on info@artandeducationbythesea.co.uk

RESIDENCIES/ WORKSHOPS: We are available to book at reasonable rates for one off and longer school /community residencies in Wales and have a team of artists (including Welsh Speakers) in both Swansea and West Wales that can provide a bespoke tailor made workshop(s) or course(s) whatever your event, theme or requirement. We also run informative, interesting and practical Inset days for teachers in school grounds. All our artists hold enhanced DBS's and are highly trained to work with all ages and abilities. BIRTHDAY PARTIES/ OTHER OCCASIONS: We run creative birthday party activities at the beach, in private gardens or natural spaces. Book us to make your party extra special with artist led sculpture/ art activites based on your theme. i.e. fairies and seahorses or dragons and castles, etc. We can also run special sculpture workshops for other types of groups - eg. hen and stag parties, wedding parties or family get togethers. Please contact us with your requirements and number of participants and we will reply by return with a quote (with or without photography package - please specify).

Cwmni Celf Amgylcheddol yw Celf ac Addysg ar Lan y Môr sy'n gweithredu yn ne a gorllewin Cymru, sy'n arbenigo mewn gweithdai/digwyddiadau i blant ysgol a chymunedau. Rydym yn dîm o artistiaid hyfforddedig sydd wedi cydweithio'n flaenorol ar brosiectau celf ysgolion (a chymunedol) mawr, e.e. y prosiect Celf Werdd ar gyfer 50 o ysgolion cynradd yng Nghoed yr Esgob yn 2000/01. Ein nod yw darparu gweithdai celf antur difyr ac addysgol sy'n gysylltiedig â'r cwricwlwm, sy'n ysbrydoli creadigrwydd, yn gwella sgiliau motor/meddwl a dyfeisgarwch, yn ogystal â chyflwyno ymwybyddiaeth o'r amgylchedd. Rydym wedi bod yn cynnal gweithdai mewn lleoliadau naturiol yn Abertawe a gorllewin Cymru ers 1998 gyda phrosiectau amrywiol fel a amlygwyd. Rydym hefyd yn cynnal diwrnodau hyfforddiant mewn swydd diddorol, ymarferol sy'n llawn gwybodaeth i athrawon. Mae gan bob un o'n hartistiaid GDG manwl ac maent wedi'u hyfforddi i weithio gyda phob oedran a gallu.
